Luca's Camera Shots

Luca's low angle shot of his brother shows how the angle of the camera can really affect the size of a person and what the audience feels from the shot. Luca's Head-on Shot shows the speed at which an object can move across a shot. Luca's Extreme Close-up shows how detailed a person's face can be.

Jovani's Camera Shots

Jovani's Eye Level shot shows the feeling the dog is evoking and really puts the focus on the dog. Jovani's Extreme Close-up brings focus to the dog's eye and shows the texture of the dog's hair. Jovani's Follow shot shows how much fast the dog was moving than the camera.

Review of Camera Angles in a Movie

 I chose a few camera angles to comment in the 2011 movie "Battle: Los Angeles" because it is one of my favorite action sci-fi film. The movie is about a Marine staff sergeant and his platoon who are deployed to Los Angeles after aliens land off the coast of the city. The movie follows the platoon as they move through the city to discover a way to defeat the aliens. This scene occurs at the beginning of the movie when the aliens have already begun invading Los Angeles. The first camera angle is a top shot, showing the aftermath of the alien's beach landing. The second camera angle is an extreme wide shot of the destruction of Los Angeles. The third camera shot is a bird's eye view of Los Angeles, which is the scene before the platoon actually arrives in Los Angeles. The next scene takes place midway through the movie. In the scene, the platoon is pinned down because of a group of aliens and their cannon. The character in this scene, Lieutenant Martinez, sacrifices him...
