5 Master Edits with Sound
1) Music: I put music throughout the film to match the emotion shown through the video. The background music is also a form of non-diegetic sound.
2) Direct Sound: In the contrast section, I decided to keep the natural sound in the two scenes to maintain the contrast between them. The use of the natural sound from the two clips allows the contrast between the boy screaming and the boy on his phone to be shown.
3) Non-diegetic Sound: I added a snapping sound to the scene in order to emphasize the change from the baby to the women. The snap is form of non-diegetic sound because the people in the clip can not hear the sound.
4) Music: I added music to the symbolism edit because the music gives a peaceful undertone to the scene as the yellow ball transitions into the sun.
5) Non-diegetic Sound: I added drums in order to increase the suspense of the simultaneity edit. As the boy is walking up and through the doors, the drums play in the background, as non-diegetic sound.
